CLASS PROPHECY Scene: The Pittsburgh Studio of JAMES GAL- BRAITH who is interviewing contestants for his new radio show Don't Leave Till We Take Ya! His Assistant JOHN MACKINLAY, ushers in their next victim, who happens to be DOLORES GOODMAN. JOHN: Jim, this is Tootsie Lamore, a Powers Model. Get a load of that power. JIM: I don't know about the power but the model is about ten years out of datc. fl'uts on a pair of glasses! Well, if it 1sn'.t our old chum. Goodman. How are ya! Honey? DOLORES: Feeling like a million bucks and look- ing like ten. How are you feeling, fat boy? JIM: Lost a couple pounds, I've been sick. Say, I saw your old friend, DOT WOMELDORF, last week. She's private secretary for Attomey Margiotti. Get- ting up in the world. Fifty-third floor in the Grant Building. DOLORES: So I heard! And was I surprised! Speaking of surprises I tumed on my television set and guess who? JOHN: Amos GSK Andy. DOLORES: No, DAVID FILSON and what a hit. curls and all. Advertising for perma wavef, JOHN: Ah! well, what ever became of GALE COBBETT? JIM: He is president and chief test driver for the Cobbett Special. He has revolutioned the auto industry with his two speed transmission. JOHN: Two speeds? JIM: Yea! Wide open and dead stop! JOHN: Tell me, Honey, what ever became of FAYE and BUNKY? DOLORES: At last reports, they had boarded a tramp steamer and are heading for the South Sea Island of Bela Bela where they intend to create the master race. JIM: I suppose you've seen a lot of places since '49, Goodman? DOLORES: Yes, imagine who I ran into last week. None other than DORD BARR. She is working as a chambermaid in her father's hotel in Kittanning. DICK BARGER owes five years rent. JOHN: How about the rest of the '49ers, Honey? DOLORES: Well, ARVEDA SHAFFER is an in- structor in a South Carolina Cham: School I visited last week. BOB BUMP is studying animal culture and working as a part time janitor there. JIM: Ever hear from KOUGH? DOLORES: Yes, he is now Generalissme Chiang Ki Kough, and has made an attempt to overthrow hu- manity to become world leader. He failed and is now a foreman in the salt mines of Siberia. Back in the home tovm changes are taking place rapidly. RUTHIE COURSON and IRENE MYERS, now sisters-in-law, are busy buying little things from MARY JANE CRAWFORD and JANET CONNER who have taken over Cora and Bea's Thrift Shop. SALLY MARTIN is still engaged in a study of the Kinsey Report. MAX LEWIS is coach- ing the local high school football. Their largest gain so far has been a ten-yard loss. Also in the faculty of the high school I found BETTY HENDERSON, an English and Dramatic teacher. . JIM: Last month I seemed a job for DENNY TAYLOR with Spike Jones as a washboard musician. He is already famous for his Rhapsody in Rinsof' JOHN: Speaking of soap have you seen JIM Mc- CALL'S Cleaner on the market? It is guaranteed by JOE MCGUIRE to remove bicycle grease. Joe has taken over the bicycle de- partment of Salvo's Department Store. ANGELO and CARMEN handle everything from Automobiles to bananas. . JIM: HOWARD TERVVILLIGER is president of the Sportsman Club here in Pittsburgh. EARL WRIGHT is Vice President in charge of finances. DOLORES: RAY HARDY at last reports has almost completed an I. test taken as a freshman. JOHN: Have you seen the Pittsburgh Steeler's band lately? The Drum Major is none other than our sensation in high school, GWEN CENTOR- CELLI. DONNA HELM plays lirst trumpet for the same organization. JIM: And did you know SHIRLEY STITT and her plowgirls have forced Slim Bryant off the air. MILDRED MILLER and ELIZABETH LORIGAN are featured yodelers on her show.
