While Mr. Whitmore is out ofthe classroom, Lanny King and Steve Myers appear lo be busy. This year the Industrial Arts Department has two new teachers, Mr. Marshall and Mr. Whitmore. Both are graduates of Ball State and are in their first year of teaching. Mr. Marshall teaches drafting, woods, metals, plastics, electricity, and general shop. Mr. VVhitmore teaches woods I and II and metals I and II. Mrs, Margison looks on as Georgeanna Bush draws her floor plan. Side: Ianct Butler snickers quietly to herself as she studies the tcmplet. P' , 3 Home Ec C Satisfies A Interests H+. .. 4. The Home Economics Curriculum is designed to meet the interest of many students. Students who are interested in Interior Decorating may find Home Art a challange. Others who find foods to be their interest may learn that Foods Classes fill their need. Clothing Classes find students becornming skilled in clothing construction. Home nursing acquaints students to the skill necessary for caring for themselves and their families. Seniors find that Marriage and Family Liv- ing can be a challenging experience. Agriculture Advances Rapidly Doug Small receives some help from the experienced hands of Mr. Norris. The agriculture department has a wide area of studies open to both girls and boys. Power and trans- portation, one of the newer classes, helps students understand how their cars run.
