X Chorus Provides Entertainment Through Song Chorus students have some free time while Mr. Wise and Mrs. Haas discuss a Choir arrangement. This years chorus provided enloyment for many people through their singing. The chorus performed at a special convocation before Thanksgiving vaca- tion. They participated in a music festival at Hag- erstown in March. With the money that the chorus earned from selling candy, they purchased a stereo tape player plus a Conn baritone to be used in band. Concentration is shown by jackie Boseley and Pat Bromley. il

Band Brings Honors To Union The 73-74 band, directed by Mr. Wise, through strenuous work and practice brought many honors to Union. They went to Southport in Indianapolis to participate in the Indiana School Music Association Marching Band Contest placing second. Several stu- dents displayed their ability in various contest. Half- time shows were presented at ballgames to arouse school spirit and support the team. While the rest of the band practices, Ioe Lindsey checks to see if all those bad notes are really his fault. .1 il t 1-I Working out parts is an important aspect of making a good band.
