 Football is rough, but we love it Football is a brutal sport, You can get maimed whether tall or short. You'd better believe me 'cause I don't lie, You'll get an elbow in your gut and a finger in your eye. When you get head on, and the other guy is a brute, If you hit him extra hard he will turn into a fruit. If you're a back and make a good drive, The crowd will love it and they will all come alive. When you get your hand crunched on, it will break, Then if you exaggerate your pain, people call you a fake. When the quarterback fades back for a pass and gets crunched by the flood, The crowd goes wild when they see the blood. Now the games over and the crowds getting thin. It's a miracle, but we have another win. The coach is happy, and says with a grin, You men killed them then he socks me on the chin. That punch hurt real bad, But I said nothing so the coach wouldn't get mad. I got put in the hospital on our last game, But those broken bones and concussion brought me fame. I guess all those kisses make it worth while, Until we go out to sprint the long mile. Football is rough, but we love it, And if you don't, please just shove it. By: Steve Aldrich
