ROOKS hold the attention of UHS Nora Reuter Rick Brookshire Rooks await their turn on the auction block to start the traditional slave days. BELOW LEFT: Ron Murphy Jim Pearson Glenda Williams UHS's annual slave auction was sponsored by the journalism class. Sherry Greenwood and Cinda Titus received the money for the purchase of the rooks. Ron Goff and Ron Shoemake kept everyone jumping with their wild ideas and quick-witted auctioneering. The next day brought on a wild array of costumes and the rank odors of onion and garlic in our halls. FOOTBALL. . . Our football team, tackling a rough schedule, finished fourth in the TU Valley League. These losses did not result from any lack of desire on the part of the team. Our 1966 team simply did not have the weight and experience of past Bobcat teams. We learned how to lose this season but with the spirit of the team and the spirit of the community we won the respect of our opponents.
