FRANK HORN, Superintendent ADMINISTRATION May I express my appreciation to the faculty and student body for the fine cooperation in establishing one of the most active and progressive school programs in the history of the school. Without the proper staff the activities could not have moved so fast to a well organized curriculum. We may not be the best but we feel that we are on an equal stand with the other schools in the state. With the dedication of our new gymnasium to the youth of our community, we find our young people expanding in music, dancing, plays, boxing, and tumbling, net only in the high school but from the early grades in the elementary school. With this continued zest may we keep the ball rolling through the many years of school and community life. STUDENT GOVERNMENT The words Government of the people, by the people, and for the people” have the same meaning today as the day many years past, when they were spoken by Abraham Lincoln. Government such as we know it in its democratic form must be taught and practiced before it can be put to great use. Our schools do a fine job of teaching the ways of government, and as students we have the opportunity to practice and to become familiar with its complexities. Student government provides us with the experience in cooperation which we must have before we take part in the game of life. It instills in us a sense of responsibility, duty, and loyalty which will protect and strengthen the democratic way of life which our forefathers founded for us. EDGAR BARTON.
