Languages dd Culture Much emphasis is given to Latin be- cause it serves as a foundation for other languages and as a help for many occu- pations such as pharmacy, nursing, law, and medicine. Under the instruction ot MISS BLAKE, the students make posters showing the impact ot Latin on todays English and report on Roman customs and dress. Spanish, taught by MISS CARPENTER. is a language which is ot great value in modern business. Spanish movies are shown to the classes about once each week to give students an idea of how the United States' Pan-American neighbors live.
