Child attendants Timmy Stewart, Christin Helland. Suddenly it was spring, and the Junior Prom was just around the corner. The juniors discovered various hidden abilities and spent countless hours in preparation for this long-awaited event. Cutting out an endless number of notes and other musical signs and gathering all sorts of odds and ends, the many committees with Mr. Brimer toiled to make every detail perfect. The juniors chose Rhapsody in B1ue as the theme of their Prom. Through the efforts of the junior class president, Roger Stowers, and various committees, the 1959 Prom was an event we will long remember. Reigning over the festivities were King Roger Tofson and Queen Peggy Sandburg. The Court con- sisted of Seniors Dave McC1yman and Karen Rachuyg Juniors Roger Stowers and Karen Coneg Sophomores Pat Tucker and Dorothy Wormetp Freshmen Jack Waterman and Marsha Lucke. After Prom there was a Post-Prom Dance at the Wharf sponsored by the Lions Club of Lake Delton and the Kiwanis Club of Wisconsin Dells. There was dancing with prizes for everyone, and breakfast was served from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. By that time everyone was ready to start for home after a wonderful evening. 70 KING and QUEEN Roger Tofson Peggy Sandgerg

This quotation from Shakespeare can be applied to the WD students who did a fine job putting on the play JUNIOR PROM. a 'farce-comedy in three acts by James Stone, directed by Mr. Heiman. Long hours of practice on the part of the cast, plus the skill of the make-up and property crews, resulted in a very entertaining play which was immensely enjoyed by both the student and adult audiences.
