Gals and books are neglected as members of the team get out spikes, bats, and gloves to start spring training. The 1959 season was one ofthe best in recent yearsg Coach Natter's team won 9 games and lost 3. Co-captains were K. G. Schulz and Parry I-Iardingg Parry Harding was also named most valuable player, The B team also had a good season as they won 3 games and lost none. I I I The Dells wrestlers achieved a 5-6 record in dual competition for the 1959-1960 season. Highlights of the season included participation in the D. C. Everest tournament, and the conference and regional matches. An outstanding individual record was turned in by Dick Schultz who scored 17 straight wins, 13 of these by pins, and was the sole representative of our school in the State Tournament at Madison. GOLF TEAM P. Tucker, C. Beahm, J. Gaffney, R. Whiting, R. Buckminster, Coach Brimer, R. Tofson, W. Gaffney, D. Wamp- ler, R. Flock, R. VanWie. I I When the first hints of spring appear, the Dellview golf course is the favorite hangout of the members of the golf squad. Members hurry out every night after school to practice driving, putting, pitch shots and generally get in shape to meet the season's competition. The golfers are coached by Mr. Brimer, who consistently shoots in the 30's. During the season four triangular meets and two five-team meets were held with Portage, Baraboo, Reedsburg, and Richland Center. While we did not win any first place, we did finish second in three of the tri- angular meets and one of the five-team meets. Jack Gaffney was No. 1 man on the squad, Dick Buckminster was No. 2 man, and Roger Tofson was No. 3 man for the 1959 season. Will he or won't he? D. Buckminster, R. Tofson, and J.
