Van Deuren, Coach Natter. One point is as good as a hundred if it comes at the right time. Coach Natter's cagers ' provided the spectators with some breathless moments of suspense as they waited until the final seconds to drop the ball through the hoop to win the game. We are proud of our basketball team and the fine showing they made. Their good sportsmanship and fine play won the respect All-Conference Forward of every team in the Conference. Tim Baggot was named Captain by his teammates, and Tom Gussel was selected as the Most Valuable Player for the 1959-1960 season. Tom Gussel has been the team's leading scorer for 3 years and the second highest scorer in school history. He was Conference top scorer his junior year and second high scorer his senior year, missing first place by one point. During his Varsity career he totaled 1285 points.
