E gi 5-c In the world of tomorrow we will need to know how to compete--physically, mentally, and morally. The athletic program in WDHS attempts to prepare us in all three areas. The aim is not physical development alone. The aim is a type of building--building into us good habits and attitudes, while building healthy bodies and keen minds. .r 3'- ,J .1

Coach Natter's cagers ' provided the spectators with some breathless moments of suspense as they waited until the final seconds to drop the ball through the hoop to win the game. We are proud of our basketball team and the fine showing they made. Their good sportsmanship and fine play won the respect All-Conference Forward of every team in the Conference. Tim Baggot was named Captain by his teammates, and Tom Gussel was selected as the Most Valuable Player for the 1959-1960 season. Tom Gussel has been the team's leading scorer for 3 years and the second highest scorer in school history.
