The forensic program in Our World is an interesting one for it gives every student in the English classes a chance to use his talent in the field of public speaking. For weeks before the elimination contest, students were seen all over the building practicing play reading, interpretative reading, or looking up material for an extem- poraneous speech. When the smoke cleared after the elimination contests, the following people were selected to represent our school in forensics: Interpretative reading: Larry LaMar, Carter Eckertg ten-minute non-original: Nancy Moon, 10-minute originalg Ron Wormet, Frank Svejcarg extemporaneous reading: Martin Van Deuren, Gary Cahoong extemporaneous speaking: Merrill Meltz, Stan Andersong four-minute speech, Carlene Gutsmeidl, Karen Fenskep declamationg Nancy Sumwalt, Diane Lonetreeg play reading: Paul Savage, Joyce Hodge, Mary Hanson.
