'24 14.2 W The homes of tomorrow are in the hands of the youth of today expresses the idea behind the goal of the Wisconsin Dells Chapter of the Future I-lomemakers of America. With this goal in mind, the members of the club combined projects and such social events as the annual Parents' Banquet and the Christmas party to make a suc- cessful and enjoyable year. In addition, each girl worked throughout the year toward the degrees offered within the club. Mrs. Winn, our advisor, and delegates Dorothy Wormet and Rita Cook attended the FHA State Conven- tion held at Green Lake in June, 1959. Officers of the club are: Dorothy Wormet, President, Rita Cook, Vice- Presidentg Carol Burgess, Secretaryg Tina Sus, Treasurer, Marlea Stone, Historiang Polly Smith, Recreation Direc- torg Marjorie Walker, Reporter. .F The Christmas party proves that FHA and FFA is not all work.

Seconds count as an exhausted editor and harassed re- porters scurry around to collect news items, write copy, and check copy in order to meet that weekly deadline. All these activities are tied together by the editors, Alice Ahlhorn and Sandy Field, with the help of the advisor, Mr. Fortney. On Thursday, the crowd gathered in front of the library means that the School Daze page is posted on the library window. 7.7,-4.5 ' ' The Future Farmers of America, under Mr. Weigel's supervision, completed another busy year of interesting and educational activities. The many functions of the club help the members toward their goal of leadership, citizenship, and cooperation. We are proud of the fact that the State Champion Land Judging Team for 1959- 1960'is made up of boys from this chapter. These boys participated in the national contest held on April 29 and 30 at Oklahoma City. The other activities of the club include the annual parents banquet, the State FFA Convention at Green Lake, the summer picnic, the state crop and livestock judging contest, the annual trip through industries of Milwaukee, and a public speaking program.
