The Candlelight procession by the members of the chorus which opened the Christmas program was a highlight of a busy year. Rehearsing twice a week, the seventy-two singers, accompanied by Karen Cone, prepared for their public appearances. On December 16 the chorus joined the band in presenting the Christmas Concert and the Spring Concert on March 25. The chorus entered the Festival on May 14 in Portage, and many of the more en- thusiastic members also participated in the solo and ensembles contests at Portage. Members of the band and cho- rus not only serve their school, but they gain an appreciation of music which they can use the rest of their lives. Jill Olson, Ann Lorenzen, and Corinne Krenz lead the Can- dlelight Pro- cession at the Christmas Con- Cert.

Gray. eq malice The main goal of this service club, which is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, is to develop in its members ini- tiative, leadership, cooperation, and service. Under the direction of Mr. Reineking, the members engaged in many activities which were designed to promote the welfare of the school and community. Among the numerous projects were the assistance with the local blood bank, the Kiwanis Auction, and the preparation of Christmas baskets for the needy. The club attended the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District Convention which was held at Viroqua in April and will also send two delegates to the International Convention held in Boston in July. We are proud of the fact that a member of our club, Roger Stowers, has been District Treasurer for the past year. OFFICERS: President ...........
