CLASS 1-HSTGRY In the summer of 1945, a mixed group of anxious boys and girls entered the routine of Union I-Ii. At first we were confused by the rules, but gradually We became ac- customed to the daily routine. In our Freshman year our class numbered 41. From this class the officers elected were: President, Ted Goins, Vice- President, Mary Gilbert, Secretary and Treasurer, Sarah Kiser. As Sophomores, eight girls were honored by being chosen as waitresses for the Junior-Senior Banquet. Our otlicers that year were: President, Ted Goins, Vice-President, Jack Rhyneg Secretary, Evelyn Carpenterg Treasurer, Sarah Kiser. The largest event of our Junior year was the Junior- Senior Banquet, given in honor of the Seniors. Another big event was the initiation of seven of our members into the National Beta Club. The class ofhcers elected were: President, Ted Goinsg Vice-President. Sonny Sain, Secre- tary and Treasurer, Sarah Kiserg Reporter, Jacob Reep. In 1948, our Senior year was begun with our looking forward to graduation. The Acorn staff was elected, and we started working like bees. Oflicers were: President, Ted Goins, Vice-President, Jacob Reepg Secretary and Treasurer, Sarah Kiser, Reporter, .lack Rhyne. Now we number 22 in our Senior year, hoping we all Hnish the work required of us. NVe are honored to have a member of our class, Sonny Sain, who has had perfect attendance all through the eleven years. We hope he can finish with a perfect record of twelve years.
