Class Poem We remember many of our school days, Days when we really had fun; But now we must look to the future, And the new life that is to come. Our school days are now over, And some to college may go; But to most of us school is finished, And now we must start the show. We know we will always be learning, As we travel over life’s way; We know there’ll be sadness and sorrow, And for strength to bear it we pray. This boy or that one may wander To strange lands, his fortune to find; This girl or that one may marry, And each in her own way will shine. Some of us may be successful, While others for years have to wait For the riches that will bring happiness. Some may forever be late. This is my gift to my classmates, Best wishes to all of you; And though the years are hard in the future, Always be kind and true. DOROTHY TURNER, Class Poet.
