CLASS HISTORY Eight shy Freehmen entered Scandinavia High School on Sept 8, 1955. Two weeks later initiation was given by the Seniors, which mhde us fullu fledged members of Scandy High. Lequ Van Doren left us, leaving onlye ceven of us. The alts: officers elected for the year were preeidentwu-e Harlan, ViceuPresideutee-Bill, SecretaryrwwNaneyg Advisornuwhrs. Keeneyu Nancy and Lind? participated in forensics and many took part in glean club and mixed chorus. Some of the boys took part in iperta ectivitieeo The next year we came back to begin our second year of our joyous days at Union Free in 1954. The sophomore class officers were Prebident Bill, ViceuPreeidentuFrank, SecretaryeDennie, Treasureertto, advisorwwu Mr. Wectenberger. Harlan, Bill, Nancy, and Linda took part in forensics and Linda went on to Madison where she receiVed a B. Many of the boys were active in Sports. In 1955, eight energetic juniors began their third year of Soendy High Schoola The class officers were PresidentuLinde, ViceuFreaidenteu. Dennis, SecretarynHarlmn, TreasureruFrank, Advieonqu. Westenbergero Frank, Bill, Harlan, Otto, Linda, and Nancy participated in forensics and Harlan went to Madison where he received an A on his 4eminuteepeechn This year as in the past, many participated in music and sports. In our Senior year the enrollment of our claee was made 10 with two- new classmates, William Hacobeon and Jeannette Webie. The cleee offiu cera for this year were PresidentuWilliem Hacobeon, Vice-preeidentuuNenn cy Trinrud, Secretery-Linda Gjerteon, and TreasurennHarlen Van Metre.0ur adviser was Mr. Leee Nancy and Linda were elected as A team cheerleaders and most of the boys took part in sports. Linda, Nancy, Harlan, Bill, Otto, and Frank participated in forensics and Harlan and Frank went to Madison where Harlan received an A in Extemporaneous Speaking and Frank a B in Interu pretive Reading. Many also took part in music. The royalty of the JunioruSenior From, which Wes held on April27. wee Frank Hansenhking and Nancy Trinruquueen. Dennis Erickson and Linda Gjerteon crowned the royal couple. Harlan Van Metre graduated 39 veledictorian and Linda Gjertson au-the salutatorien. Graduation exercise: were held on May 25 with Professor Walters from Lawrence College in Appleton as guest speaker.
