A | Everything has its time, or so it’s said. There’s a time [to laugh and celebrate life, and there's a time to stop | and reflect on the mistakes we have made in the past. time to sit with friends and talk about the good times, and there's time to be alone and think about the I future. High School has its time in our life too. We all pass through its four year duration, trying to make the ■ out of the time we have together here at U.E. Freshmen, we experienced a time of anxiety, a Itimeof getting familiar with the new bigger school, and of learning to handle the busting about being a ninth grader. We made new friends, joined clubs and sport teams, and began learning the ropes of how to survive four years of high school. During our Sophomore year, we began to fall in line with the upperclassmen. We felt more comfortable with the high school, and more importantly, we took on a new position of superiority with the new freshmen filling in our old shoes. Junior year was a time of great pressure. It was a year filled with standardized tests, harder courses, and the realization that we better get working if we want to graduate next year. It did have its benefits, though. As a Junior, you were finally an upperclassman, a standing that brings many privileges here at U.E. Finally, you become a Senior, the best position to be in. Senior year, “the year of study halls,” brings forth a time of much freedom. At this point, you are both reflecting upon three years of fond memories at U.E. and looking forward into the future years with an- ticipation. You participate in the many special Senior Activities: the class trip, the banquet, and the prom. You have successfully made it through four years of high school and are ready to graduate into the real world. Though there is some sadness and anxiety, there are so many reasons to celebrate, because Seniors, this is our time! Joy Marean Photo by Kristin Kilgore
