The 1986 Thesaurus contains over 2.000 U-E TIGERS ready to leap into action. Their enthusiasm and spirit emanates from them in their clubs, at the games, and every day in school. The 1986 school year showed Freshmen explor- ing the high school for the first time. Sophomores foiling into step with the upperclassmen. Juniors realizing that they better get themselves in tow if they wont to get accepted to college, and Seniors facing a totally new experience or the end of graduation. Let's take o walk through o year of the lives of students or U-E high. Everyone takes the dreaded start os o Freshman, the youngest of the U-E crowd, or the cubs. They learn where their classes ore. what the teachers ore like, and maybe their most important lesson, how to ovoid the upperclassmen. Next you’re a Sophomore, or maturing into o real TIGER. You start to foil into step with the up- perclassmen, you know the school and most teachers quite well, bur best of oil you now have new cubs under you on the school ladder. After that you're o Junior, almost o full grown TIGER. By your Junior year you know the school ond the teachers like the bock of your hand At this point on your climb to the top. you ore pretty skilled or talking yourself our of otherwise sure detention situations ond you probably even know o couple teochers more os friends than advisors Finally you become a Senior — the best year of high school is ahead because you ore now o full- grown TIGER. Seniors don't know the meaning of the bell, or detention. The school is yours ond you live pretty much by your own rules os you strive towards the end of the year, and graduation when you will be reody to lunge out into the world fighting! Johnna Bottle
