Under the direction of Mr. Scagnoli and assistant director Mr. Slecta, the mar- ching hand placed 5th at State Fair Com- petition in Syracuse. Mike Wild brought 1st place drum major for U-E while the color guard placed 3rd in their category. For the second time, the band performed for the Buffalo Bills-Miami Dolphins foot- ball halftime at Buffalo. Other competi- tion included the Sherburne Gold Rush in which the band was chosen 3rd class-A and 3rd over-all, bypassing Vestal. Mr. Scagnoli--Director of Bands, and Mr. Slcchta--Assistant Director, take time out for a picture as they confer over a score. Connie Butterworth, Bonnie Butterworth, Car- men Bilbrey, Claudiann Reed, Mary Hales, and Mary Hughes present colors. The band plays Con- fidence March” in the NFL shield forma- tion prior to the Buf- falo Bill-Miami Dol- phins football game in November.
