DEDICATION To the person whose enthusiasm and patience have made U-E's Thesaurus the annual prize-winning yearbook that it is After entering the doors of U-E in l9l8, she became Head of the English Department in 1920. Her ability in di- recting plays was proven in The Fool, The Enemy, and Seventeen, to mention only a few. She has been faculty ad- viser to many senior committees, and at one time adviser of the Tiger, a quarterly publication. While sponsoring the Creative Writing Club, she has also been the inspiration and chief adviser of the Thesaurus. For six consecutive years, U-E's yearbook has not fallen below a first-place rating and once achieved the Medalist rating. To this person, who has succeeded in capturing the love and respect of all U-E, to Mrs. Edna Finch, this book is grate- fully and sincerely dedicated.
