We of these January and June Classes of 1947 are glad Thesaurus means a store- house of collected treasures. People have so many precious possessions they store away, so much in the way of tangible value which they treasure. However, the intangible — the memories of happy school days, the indelible portraits of friends — the associations these recall — these are the most prized wealth of most people. Rejoicing in the possession of memories of friends, of school activities, we visualize these as the separate parts of a rocket which bursts in all its beauty of design and color, shedding its myriad stars upon us. As the rocket gleams for us, we revel in its inexhaustible memories, and dream of its separate stars. 3

“An apple for the teacher ,” and gratitude we bring, For kindness, patience, understanding, when Our minds would wander to some far-off corner of the globe, And have to be recalled and made alert again.
