When we lirst enteretl the historic Blue tiate antl refusecl to pay the no less historic salt taxi we were the largest entering class in the history ot' the college. .-Xfter taking the Sophomores into camp we settlecl clown to a most successful year, during which there were as many Sophomore haircuts as there were lfrcslmtan. We also were the llrst class to lloocl South College. Our Sophomore year was markecl hy a clean slate foothall team, whose hack-lielcl was taken from our class. In aflclition to this we holcl the tliss tinction of estahlishing innovations along' the lines of Freshman llanquets anal llow to llreak Them Up. XYe will not make it known that twenty- seven heatls were shorn of their curly locks on one memorahle .lanuary afternoon. l.ack of space and ottr moclesty prohihit tts from telling all we have accomplished, sutlice it to say that we were here to usher in the new ggynmasiutn. with its adjacent .Xlexanclcr lfieltl. ancl we have seen the Nlel- ville llanna Memorial in XX'ashhurn llall and the llutterlielcl Memorial well unrler way. We have had ottr share in the estahlishment of an Inter- fraternity t'onference, and the class of 1917 has also given hirth to the two authors of our musical comecly success of the past year, Come to llalmy l.ancl.
