which had never died, but merely sleptg while rw firmly believe that in the near future Union will again be ranked, where it truly belongs, among the first of American colleges. Our readers will find a sketch of the life of President Webster in this publication, and we feel sure that all of our friends will join in thanking Professor Wells for this favor. No changes have been made in the faculty during the past year, but numerous and beneficial changes have been made in the curriculum which place us fully up with the times. It is said that mental and moral development should go together an-d we find this true to a con- siderable extent at Union. The chapel exercises have been made par- ticularly interesting and instructive by ,President Webster, while the weekly religious meetings conducted by Professor A. S. Wright are un- doudtedly productive of much good. ln harmony with the increased activity in the mental and moral development we notice a steady and rapid advancement in athletics. Our baseball team was quite generally considered the equal of any in the league, and many victories were secured. Our football team did excellently well for one with so little experi- ence, and we look forward to next year's contests with considerable con- fidence. The New York State Intercollegiate Athletic Association will hold their animal field day with Union and under her supervision. Such a state of general prosperity exists with us. Now it remains but for us to return hearty thanks to Mr. Barstow, who designed our cuts, and to all others who have aided in our work, and then, with a friendly greeting to our sister classes, and a Godspeed to old Union, we submit our work to the GARNIBT readers.
