TO: The Teacher, I watch you everyday and I have come to admire the way you get things done. You can reach even those who seem to be unreachable. Though some kids say you are mean and unfair, I have seen the times when you were con- cerned with our well-being, our health, and if we really understood what you were teaching. It's hard to be a student, but I have learned, it's equally tough to be a teacher. The things you give us are precious and are too great to measure. Thanks! FROM: A student. An improved tiger team took the field this spring. Im- proved in looks by the pur- chase of new uniforms and improved at the plate by use of their new batting net and pitching machine. Already to be contended with on the basketball court, the enthusiastic tigers are determined to be a team to dread at the park. However handicapped by inexperience, the tiger's powerful hitting and speed on bases will contribute to a team worth watching at the ball park. Were YOU there? They played a super season throughout the year and made many memorable accomplishments; i.e. chaining the Minco Bulldogs and taking a bite out of the Ampo Panthers. Laura Rother made an individual accomplishment by recieving All Conference. Becky. Debbie, Lori, and Daviell were honorable mentions. Their devotion, team cooperation and hustle proved to be worthwhile as they ended the year as 1981- 82 District Champs. 33 HIGH SCHOOL a Laura Rother Head Senior Laura Sandel Junior Becky Ratterman Seniors Jennifer Walsh Sophomore Faye Woolard Sophomore Kathy Woods Sophomore 34 Congratulations; Cox-Wright Furniture 104 N. The day is full of things to do. In the morning if a student is not in a reading group, he is probably doing seat-work or reading some- thing for fun. After lunch students have work to do in such areas as spelling, math, science, art and mu- sic. There certainly is a lot to do! Second graders like to cut, paste and color. They also like to talk about almost anything! One of the main reasons the second grade is so fun is everyday is different from the day before. SECOND GRADE Miss Tammy Boevers. Teacher FIRST GRADE RUSTLERS The first graders this year are a very enthusiastic group. They came to school the very first day wanting and expecting to learn to read; therefore, they have come a long way in their reading progress. The children throughly enjoy reading about their favorite characters. Don. Sly and es pecially Sam. While we spend the majority of our class time on reading related activi- ties, the children really enjoy math. The students look forward to Mondays because it is math day! The students also take a great deal of pride in knowing many math facts. If I had to choose a favorite time of the day for all of my students, it would no doubt be gym time. First graders love to be active.
