These were supplemented by a number of freshman and some others from the upper classes. This year looks like it would be a profitable year for the baseball team and the boys have a good deal of hope with Coach Wheelerq The games planned are: Athens there April 10 Quincy here April 17 Litchfield there April 24 Coldwater there April 30 Jonesville here May 1 Coldwater here May 5 Homer there May 6 Readi here May 8 H8 Bronson there May 13

They began practice the second week in October under the super- vision of Mrs. Clara Bell Nelson, and Mrs. Gerald Davison. The first game of the season was with Athens and brought them their first victory. The schedule was as follows: U .C . Opponents Athens 17 13 Litchfield 21 7 Bronson 10 20 Bronson 13 24 Litchfield 13 17 Athens 14 21 Jonesville 6 14 On the night of their last game they all attended a party given for the Boy's and Girl's team at Mr. 5 Mrs. Finleys. On April 10, the girls attended the Athletic Banquit, re- ceived their awards and enjoyed the program. Although they have not engoyed too many victories this year they feel that they have gained much in experience and teamwork. The girls loci forward to the next seascn and hope that it will bring them even more success and enjoyment then the last.

Page Thirty-two AND Zu Top Rows Donald Swensen, Harold Jones, Coach Wheeler, Carl Brisbane,Ly1e Parks Second Rows ElRay Jones, Roger Collyer Louie Vanwarmer, Clyde Finely, Billy Howell, Mickey Mergle Front Row: Richard Glant, Raymond,Cameron, Charles Cooper, Harold Warkozceski, Darwin Musselman, Fred Tappen, Delbert Musselman Nine letter men signed up for track when Coach Wheeler started practice this year. They are Don Swensen Harold 'Spike' Jones, Lyle Parks, E1Ray Jones Roger Collyer, Spe d Cooper, Harold larkoczeski, Darwin Musselman, and Fred Tappan. A number of freshman also came out to help build up the team for the future. They will compete with other schools at Albion May 10 for the Albion invitational and also again for 'Little C' championship later in the season.
