Spirit Weds Spirit weeks presented a nice break in the winter routine as the cast geared up to cheer our future players on in their victory bids. Spirit dress was as follows: Monday, Stripes Day; Tuesday, Nerd Day; Wednesday; Class Day, as all the classes chose a theme, dressed alike, and presented a skit during pep session. The freshmen proclaimed, “Our Indians are Hefty” and did a outstanding skit on Mr. Rogers Neighborhood which won them a second place finish. The sophomores opted for “No Sweat” and wore synonomous attire, while the Juniors copied their favorite Americans. The Seniors won the day with their “Born to Be Wild” theme and skit. Our efforts to inspire the boys fell short, but our spirit helped motivate the girls to another county championship and the winning of the victory key. 1. Our Indians are “hefty”. 2. U.C.’s version of “revenge of the Nerds.”. 3. The senior cheerleaders after a visit to make-up. 4. Is this “Planet of the Apes”? 5. Mr. Rogers visits our neighborhood. 6. Seniors set up the big race. 7. “Spirit” extends into the cafeteria. 8. The three stooges; Moe, Larry, and Curly. 9. Seniors are born to be wild. 10. Student Council has its own version of the winter Olympics.
