'Pirates Cove' Is Prom Theme On May 7, 1962, the high school gym was token over by pirates. Passengers walked off the ship's gangplank Into a candle-lit cove where Hawaiian maidens and a pirate crew escorted the Prom guests to their tables in preparation for an evening of enchantment.
