Board and Superintendent Work Hand in Hand SCHOOL BOARD Wayne Fisher, Treasurer; Duane Hockensmith, Secretary; Doris Debolt, President; Jerald Noffsinger, Lloyd Welch. It is the duty of the school board to see that the elementary and the high school operate smoothly. There are certain rules and policies determined by the school board that both of these schools must abide by. MR. DEE HAND SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS Being superintendent of schools requires Mr. Hand to be the executive and administrative officer of the Board of Education. Mr. Hand directs the school under the policies set up by the School Board. Also, he is in charge of personnel, curriculum, and maintenance of school property. Mr. Hand obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at Central Normal and his Master of Science degree at Indiana University. 8

MR. ROBERT SHANK HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL As principal, Mr. Shank's main job is to supervise the high school, its faculty and students. Mr. Shank is the director of the athletic program, and all financial business is taken care of in his office. Mr. Shank received his Bachelor of Science degree from Central Normal in 1942 and his Master of Science degree from Indiana University in 1952. Their Work Is Dedicated to Us MR. KENNETH TEMPLETON ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL Mr. Templeton’s job as elementary principal requires him to be in charge of the supervision of the elementary teachers. He is also in charge of the organization and development of curriculum. Mr. Templeton earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Huntington College in 1950 and his Master of Science degree from Indiana University in 1953. 9
