. . . We have now completed our first year of high school and have found it quite new and exacting. We are forty-seven in number. Twenty participated in band and seven in orchestra. We are proud to have seven boys on the Kitten team. The girls were active in G.A.A. At the beginning of the year we elected class officers. They were as follows: Robert Reid, president: Jane Lephart, vice-president; Janet Castle, secretary; Barbara Butcher, treasurer. We chose Robert Reid, John Patchell, and David Beaty as our representatives on the Student Council. In choosing our courses we are studying in all fields. Some are following an academic course and others are taking general courses which include shop, home economics, and art. Under the excellent sponsorship of Miss Brady, we have come to the end of a very successful year. So far our first year activities have been few, but during the future years of our high school career we hope to make a place for the class of '48. —Janet Castle. [ 28 ]
