Class History In August of 1948, 35 little first grade started to school with Miss Martin as our teacher. They were Suzanne Boyd, Patricia Spaid, Patricia Reddin, Mary Lou Farrell, Floyd Meyer, Larry Meyer, Myron Bradburn, Litia Ernest, Karen Quackenbush, Sue Parker, Mary Ann Gerber, Kath- rine Richardson, Karen Bender, Judy Gaston, Betty Roussey, Roger Wendell, Peggy Caley, Nancy Wilson, Donna Walker, Joe Sickafus, Tommy Ross, Ten Schlagenhauf, Ralph Piatt, Phillip Norris, Nancy Eckelbarger, Barbara Rush, Catherine Fate, Damaris Weaver, Gonnie Sheley, Ross Osborn, Bonnie Gooper, Adrian Guerara, Linda Burnau, Tommy Fisher, Garalene Fishbaugh. In the second grade we had Mrs McClure as our teacher. We gained two new students, Lila Boxell, and Donnie Wolf. We also lost Litia Ernest, Peggy Galery, Damaris Weaver and Adrian Guevara. During our third grade we divided the class. Half of the class had Mrs. Lesh and the rest had Mrs. McClure again. We gained Jerry Haney, Barbara Lindman, Dolly Fusselman, and Lane Netherland. We realized also that we lost more than we gained that year. We lost Ralph Piatt, Barbara Rush, Gonnie Sheley, Karen Bender, Patty Reddin, Joe Sickafus, Ted Schlagenhauf, Mary Lou Farrel, Tom Fisher. In our fourth year we gained one new student, Charles Spears. Our teacher was Mrs. Lesh. Our teacher in the fifth grade was Mrs. Meacham. We gained Dale Brown, and George Hent- horn. We lost, Don Wolf, Dolly Fusselman, and Charles Spears. We came back in the sixth grade and found out that we had lost Suzanne Boyd, Patricia Spaid, Lila Boxell, and George Henthorn.We gained Jerry Story, Mary Lou Williams, and Don Posthumus. Our teacher was Mrs. Meacham. The next year as seventh graders we were excited to get to go up stairs and have all the high school teachers. We gained Ronnie Mulles, Tony Tomei, and Sharon Sickafus. We lost Tommy Ross, and Nancy Eckelbarger. As eighth graders we gained Wendell Bookout, Mike Lake. We lost Jerry Story and Roger Wendell. In the ninth grade we gained Shelba Jane Denny, Karol Way, Reida Woods, and Bob Wright. We lost Don Posthums, Wendell Bookout, Mike Lake, Tony Tomei and Sue Parker. When we started the tenth grade we gained Tony Tomei back and lost Dale Brown, Karol Way and Bob Wright. In our eleventh grade we lost Sharon Sickafus and gained nobody. When we came back this year we gained Fred Robinson, Dave Benner and Betty Galloway, and we lost Lane Netherland, Shelba Jane Denny, Mary Lou Williams, and Betty Galloway moved to Illinois. The time has come when the class of 1960 must say goodby to Union. We, the Seniors, want to expr ess our appreciation to our sponsor Mr. Walmsley and to the rest of the faculty for their guidance and help.

Senior Class Will To the faculty we bequeath our appreciation for a fine education. To the juniors we bequeath our ability to do well on everything we sold. To the sophomores we bequeath our ability to get along weU together. To the freshmen we bequeath our ability to stay out of trouble. Myron Bradburn, bequeath ability to get good grades in math to Ronnie Rice. Linda Burnau, bequeath some of my freckles to Dave McBride who needs a few more. Judy Gaston, bequeath my black hair to Becky Lipkey. Bonnie Cooper, bequeath my quick temper to Janet Line. Cathy Fate, bequeath my little feet to Lois Settlemeyer. Caralene Fishbaugh, bequeath my 4-H ability to Rita Caston. Mary Ann Gerber, bequeath my ability to play the piano to Mike Slater. Ronnie MuUes, bequeath my ability to get blamed for everything that happens in government class to Keith Gallaway. Phil Norris, bequeath my position on the ball team to Gerald Dennis. RoseOsborn, bequeath my ability to not talk all the time to Susan Jennings. Karen Quackenbush, bequeath my abiUty to talk endlessly to the Fritz twins. Kathrine Richardson, bequeath my physics book to my sister Marcia Richardson. Dave Renner, bequeath my ability to argue in government class to Carol Rice. Fred Robinson, bequeath my ability to be a gentleman to Dennis Gerbers. Larry Meyer, bequeath my height to Dick Fairchild. Floyd Meyer, bequeath my position as stage manager to Bruce Reidenbach. Tony Tomei, bequeath my ability to write good themes to Janice Caley. Nancy Wilson, bequeath my ability to stick to one guy to Carolyn Mishler. Reida Woods, bequeath my ability to get such good parts in the play to anyone who wants it.
