CLASS PROPHECY After taking off from Mars in our 1966 Flying Saucer, our destination unknown, we end up on a planet named Krypton. After looking around for a while we run into an old classmate, Carl Anderson. We discover he is raising Super birds. As we all know, this is the planet Super Man came from. At the moment he is giving his birds a bath in Super Suds. We are zooming through space when suddenly we hear a loud noise. Zoom, zoom! What was that? We look around and see an interplanetary race. All hot rod saucers are speedy but one is way ahead. As it reaches the finish and the driver climbs out we recognize hini as our old classmate, Terry Bowman. He says that speed was very slow. As of yet Terry has been too fast to catch a wife. We finally landed on that old planet, earth. After looking around for a while guess whom we found. Being a down to earth girl, Shirley Bumgarner, naturally. She tells us she is married and is living on a farm and raising uranium. Synthetic, of course. After searching for a while we stumbled on to a golf course and who do you suppose we found there? Why Robert Cayot, of course. He tells us the golf balls are now jet propelled. Bob tells us Charles Dennis is still at the General Electric and so we'll drop in on him. We finally locate him just to find that he is now general manager of the company. He said they were making parts for interplanetary ships. After searching the earth we finally found Babe Eichhorn and she tells us her name is now Wilson and that they are raising pure bred dairy cattle. Babe tells us that Haael .Cjirdham anclrg-ine finally got married and they are both teaching school. We took off again and decided we were hungry so we stopped at a drive-in on Pluto and who should wait on us but another classmate, Helen Herndon. She tells us that she owns the place. After taking a tour of Pluto we fly back to earth and land on Broadway in New York. There we see a sign on a theater that says, Crum, Inc. That name sounds familiar so we drop in. Sure enough, it is Joan Huffman and Dean. They have a show all their own. While we are in New York we drop into the United Nations Building and find that Joe Huffman is president of the U. N. Security Council. We are told that Marilyn Moore is now a millionairess. She has been dealing in the stock market. Joe told us that Eugene Norris is surveying for an engineering project on the earth's moon. Our next stop is Fort Wayne, Indiana, where we find the heart of basketball enthusiasm. We find that the earth has thrown together its basketball team and is playing other planets. We also find to our surprise that Hal Platt is the manager of the earth's powerful team. l After a brief chat with Hal we decide to have a bite to eat in the Hall's-Drive-In. When we get to the new and very modern Broadway Bridge we see a large neon sign which reads, Stahl's Drive Inn, Dine and Dance. This sign has us wondering about our classmate, Rosalyn Stahl. As we step into the main lobby we see Rosalyn coming to greet us. She asks us to look around and see what a modern drive-inn is like. It is a very beautiful place with a large lawn and terrace behind for summer purposes. It really is more of a place of relaxation that a drive inn diner. We ask Rosalyn how she came about the good fortune and we find that she too had invested stocks in some large company and they paid off. After a pleasant afternoon we decided to fly to Florida and we find Mrs. Esther Laghr and her husband own a tourist court and are doing very well. We are glad that she is happy and content and that we may stay. over some time for the summer. We have one more stop to make and that is in--sxugny California in the heart of the motion picture industry. There we find Wayne Willett, popular singer, dancer, and screen star. He says he has converted from hillbilly music to popular hit songs and this is the result. This is a very pleasant surprise but we would still' like to know what he did with his guitar. I still have it as a remembrance of my old days at Union Center. We have just made a complete preview of what the future could hold for us and what you could possibly look forward to in maybe half a century. Don't laugh too hard at this for you don't know how much truth it holds.
