Feb 10-Boys beat Elizabethton 34- to 3. 15-Sweet Revenge! Beat Bristol fVa.j 25 to 18. 16-Bristol fTenn.j beat us 30 to 29. 24-Basketball teams entertained by Booster Club. March 3-Farewell party for Coach Smith given by Basketball girls. March 3-Football boys get their sweaters. Football sweaters-yellow! March 4--Coach Smith, who led our girls' team through a successful season, leaves for home. - March 4-East Tennessee Basketball Tournament begins. Yellow Jackets de- part. March 6-Seniors entertained at Tusculum. March 8-Boys beaten just before the finals by Lenoir City. March 10-A recital given by Miss Carothers' music pupils and Glee Club. March 12-Rev. Pierce and Mr. Moreman, conduct chapel. March 12-Mr. Rufus Holder, speaker in chapel. Interesting talk. March 12-Sermon at Methodist church for High School students and teachers. March 19-Sadness spreads its blanket over the school because of the death of one of our most efficient students, Lenace Blankenship. School closes and goes to the funeral. March 21-Senior play: Looks like Rain. Big hit! April 2-Junior-Senior Banquet at Hotel Erwin. ' Page Forty-three -Ruth Sherwood.
