f ISTORY - ?'Hg gg. E I It was an early September morning when Unadilla High School was be- stowed with 12 new members. They were Rosita Bartllng, Alma Isaacs, Shirley Kramer, Shirley Stubbendeck, Ionna Hofker, Larry Barden, Lee Clark, Rolly Kastens, Marlin Callaway, Jack Callaway, John Isaacs, and Daniel Stilwell. A few days after our entry we were royally initiated by the seniors. We were also their guests at a party after being ini- tiated. As spring arrived we entertained at a party given at the schoolhouse. The seniors were happy to have Rosita Bartling as a participant in their class play. Another summer passed and we were again in school---not as green freshmen but as wise sophomores. As we took the roll we were sorry to see that Larry Barden and Alma Isaacs were no longer with us. John Jeffreys of Omaha joined us when the second semester started. As sophomores we all enjoyed the school year. lhe next fall we were back as juniors, however John Jeffreys joined the navy. We received our rings shortly after school started. In November we presented our class play--nFor Pete's Saken. We used the proceeds for a banquet honoring the seniors at Cotner Terrace. Hawaiian themes decorated the tables. Those juniors happy to help the seniors with their play were as follows: Rosita Bartling, Shirley Kramer, Shirley Stubbendeck, Jack Callaway, John Isaacs, and Daniel Stilwell. we were sorry to lose Ionna Hofker during our junior year. As seniors we carrldd the whip. At least we tried to prove it as we initiated the freshmen. In the fall we game a party in our new auditorium. Caniel Stilwell was included in the junior class plq . As spring rolled around we spent an enjoyable evening at the expense of the juniors. we also enjoyed our sneak day very much. Everyone was hippy to participate in our play. Our class members have enjoyed basketball, baseball, volleyball-- softball, working on the annual, school paper, and Music throughout their high school years.
