Steve Baber, Editor Karen Bailey, Co-editor Umpire High School Umpire, Arkansas 1 Volume No. 10 Dedication ■Mi The annual staff of 1979-80 is proud to dedicate the 1980 Wildcat to Mr. Glen Green. During the six years he has been employed at Umpire School, Mr. Green has been one of its most enthusiastic supporters. He is always willing to help with anything we ask him to do whether it be driving the bus to a basketball game, taking FBLA to Little Rock for the State Leadership Conference, or going with the seniors on their senior trip. In addition to his job at school, he and his wife, Jo, have a chicken house to take care of. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and playing the organ. To show our appreciation and gratitude for all his help, we dedicate this annual with love to Mr. Glen Green. Mr. Green poses with representatives from the four ball teams to display the ball jacket they gave him this year. Memorial Coach Don Parson April 7, 1944 - October 9, 1979 Coach Don Parson was a man dedicated to his family, friends, and profession. During his 12 year coaching career, he coached at schools in Umpire, Murfreesboro, Keiser, Cove, and Leola. Students in these schools will long remember him for his devotion to basketball and the fact that he took a personal interest in his players and cared what happened to them. There are memories that linger Memories of shared dreams, schemes, joy, and victories Override the memories of tears, hurt, pain and troubles. All the quarrels and spats are forgotten Only the parties and fun we rmember. We are proud of our accomplishments But sad to leave this world behind We know that we will all take different paths And never be this close again, Yet we have this glorious hope That all these paths lead to one road And that road leads HOME.
