Mr. And Miss UHS Laura Kitchens, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dorman Kitchens, is a 5 7”, green-eyed brunette. She is a member of the Senior Class and was elected Miss UHS by the student body in 1974. Laura played on the Senior Girls basketball team for four years. During that time the Senior Girls were runners-up in the Dierks and Gillham tournaments. This year they were runners-up in the district tournament and went to state at Conway. Besides basketball Laura also enjoys music. Upon graduation she plans to further her edu- cation. Gary Arivett, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Arivett, was elected by the student body as Mr. UHS in 1974. As president of the student council he is an active participant in many organizations which include FBLA, YGR, and Annual Staff. Gary has played on the basketball team for two years. Laura Kitchens is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dorman Kitchens. She has attended Umpire High School for four years. Laura was on the starting lineup of the basketball team and serves as a representative of the student council. She is also a member of the YGR's and FBLA. She serves as the treasurer of the Senior Class. Laura has enjoyed her years at Umpire. Dennis Kitchens is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Riley Kitchens. He is an active member of the Annual Staff and serves as vice-president of the Senior Class. He is on the starting line-up of the basketball team and has played for six years. His interest other than basketball, include horses and mechanics. Upon graduation Dennis plans to enroll in a vocational technical school.
