SENIOR CLASS HISTORY It was once upon a time Twelve years or so now past, That we all started on this Long and tedious task. Seventh grade brought Ronnie, Glynda And Linda Lou, from up Altoona way; And of course, Carol Holt From New Jersey, to stay. Mrs. Hethcox looked over This terrible little group, And decided she should have Come down with the croup. There sitting all in a row Were Doodles, Mickey. Myrle, David, Herbie, Claudia, Patty, Jimmy, Tobie, Bang, Steve, J. L., Louise, Margaret Ann, and Walter; All r'aring to go. We made it to the second And were all ready to start, When Juliette came to join us. Man, she wasn’t too smart. In the third and fourth we added Not a single desk. Then Mrs. Kilker decided we were Sixteen little pests. It was here Jn the fifth Three more joined the crew. There were John Ed, Ernest, and Kathie Jo. All bright, shiny, and new. Now away to the sixth And halfway through school Joined Buddy, Melvin, Lomax, Jane, And Lloyd, a truck-driving fool I The eighth and ninth we were blessed; Three more pupils from every way. There were Leslie, Bunny, And quiet Mary Kay. The tenth brought Mickey Carter, A Kentucky-born lad. And that really made Coach Lewis glad I The eleventh grade now And Sue Phelps came our way. Along with her smile, To help brighten the day. And then the twelfth grade Here at long last. Eleven years of hard work Are now through and past. o now we're all ready o leave this dear old place nd establish our positions mong the normal human race! - Tobie Wiygul

CLASS OF 1960’s LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT I, Herbert Babb, will the whole cotton-pickin'' school to anyone who is crazy enough to come here I, Glynda Lee Bertine, will my air ride seat on the bus to Vickie Davis. I, Claudia Calloway, will my place in the senior class to Susan Wingfield. I, Mickey Carter, will my contact lenses to Mrs. Carroll. I, Ronnie Clark, will all my extra freckles to Jackie Williams. Stay in the sun, Jackie. I, Jane Coates, will my little sister to the poor unfortunate teachers. I, David Coleman, will all my extra weight to Charles Tibbals; break 200! I, Bang Collins, will my hot rod jeep to Mrs. Edwards. Wear a bathing cap, Maggie. 1, Melvin Collins, will my broken nose to anyone who wants the pain. I, Myrle Daniels, will my ability to fuss with my boy friend, and not break up, to Jane Ramsey. I, Jimmy Daugherty, will my ability to talk Mr. Hardin into raising my grade to anyone who can get up early enough to watch Continental Classroom! I, Mary Kay Garris, will my peaches and cream” complexion to Miss Zellman. I, Walter Heim, will my misspelled words to Susan Wingfield. I, Mickey Holsworth, will my seat at Kiwanis to FISH Traywick. I, Carol Ann Holt, will my football figure to Ray Guenther. I, Kathy Jo Keel, will my tall, slender figure to Jane Ramsey. I. Leslie Kenyon, will my Ford to anyone who has plenty of bailing wire. I, J. L. Kicklighter, will nothing to nobody. I, Linda Lou Lambert, will my naturally curly hair to Mary Gerding. I, Patty Lee, will my ability to get by with anything in class to Barbara Sue Johnston. I, Ernest Leggett, will my old football socks to Ray Bryant. I, Lloyd Miller, will my chewing gum to Roy Warren. Chew, chew, chew. I, Sue Phelps, will my yak-yaking on the bus to Martin Traywick. I, Steve Rigdon, will my chin beard to anyone who is stupid enough to want one. I, Louise Roundtree, will my Southern drawl to Darlene Twigg. I, Lomax Sasser, will my muscles and athletic ability to Buddy McTureous. I, Doodles Seabrook, will my long legs to Ray Bryant. Use them on those wind sprints next year. I, Margaret Ann Sewell, will one of my nine lives to Mr. Craig, because he will need it before the year is over. I, John Ed Smith, will my senior seat to anyone who can carry it away. I, Bunny Tietgens, will my desire to be on the A Honor Roll to Ann Wood. I, Buddy Turner, will my nothing to the only man I ever met that needed it, Mr. Johnson. I, Juliette Wingfield, will my ability to play jacks at 3 a. m. during a slumber party to Jane Big Wheel Collins. I, Tobie Wlygul, will my ability to have a date every night during the summer, to Barbara Sue Johnston. Just flash those eyes around, Barbara.
