Barbara Gillilan. the students of Grant High Sec' Muriel Potts School for promoting Treas. Caroline Miller SPRING Pre s . Loreen Stocks V. Pres. Murial Potts Sec. Joan Warner Treas. Tom Pantle friendship and service to those in need. To accom- plish these, Voithia, this past year, has been a source of projects which the individual clubs under- take--such as entertaining the veterans and sick in their respective hospitals. SPRING Pres. Nancy McDougald V. Pres. June Martindale Sec. Ann Cairney Treas. Joan Britton Twauno, a girls' social club, takes its name and inspiration from the Indian work meaning happiness through friendship. A sport dance in the fall, the annual Christmas formal with Klix, a Mother's Day brealdast, a rummage sale and many joint meetings have been enjoyed by the members. Service projects for the Cancer Society, Re- habilitation Center, Louise Home, Waverly Baby Home and the Veterans' Hospital were successfully com- pleted. 171

David Denton ZIP service Zip, amixed service club was organized in 1949. The purpose of the club is to further school spirit, and give service to the school. The Rose Festival setting for the presentation of the princess is Zip' s main pro- ject. Other activities in- clude: the cleaning of trophy cases, ushering at the Civic Theater, and breakfasts at Multnomah Falls. The big money raising project oi the year was the Singing Valentines sale . SPRING Presb Pat Peterson V- Pres- Sonja Dahlgren SSC- Carol Donohue TPGHSQ Gail Schumaker Zeta Chi Epsilon, a girls social club, had a success- ful year filled with activi- ties, both social and ser- vice. A few of the year's social functions included a school dance, joint meet- ings, trips to the beach and mountain., parties, and the annual V senior farewell. Among the service projects were the making of stocking dolls for war orphans and Christmas caroling at Holi- day Hospital. l73 Dim
