TRI-Y service The purpose of Grant Tri-Y is to promote friend- ship among girls and to grow in the knowledge and love of God. Some of the service projects have been sending gifts to the State Mental Hospital, joke books to a hospital, and giving a Valentine party for small children. Thegirls had se- veral parties and also a cupcake sale. A car wash and a rummage sale sup- ported the May beach trip. These activities included a car wash, rummage sale, the Tisque Turkey Troy, Tis- que-Cuieaf Christmas for- mal, an after-game dance, teas, and joint meetings. The group also did service for the Boys and Girls Aid Society, Providence Hospi- tal, and the Mann Home. The club received the social club of the term trophy. SPRING Pres. Marlene Grassens V. Pres. Sandra Lasselle Sec. Susan Gabriel Treas. Barbara Stout Thalian is adramatic in- terest club which takes pride in promoting the sub- ject of dramatic art. Tha- lian has completed many worthwhile service pro- jects. Among them are making hospital favors, cleaning the trophy cases, and collecting toys for the toy and joy makers. The club has completed a very prosperous and successful year. 169

Tom Pantle friendship and service to those in need. To accom- plish these, Voithia, this past year, has been a source of projects which the individual clubs under- take--such as entertaining the veterans and sick in their respective hospitals. SPRING Pres. Nancy McDougald V. Pres. June Martindale Sec. Ann Cairney Treas. Joan Britton Twauno, a girls' social club, takes its name and inspiration from the Indian work meaning happiness through friendship. A sport dance in the fall, the annual Christmas formal with Klix, a Mother's Day brealdast, a rummage sale and many joint meetings have been enjoyed by the members. Service projects for the Cancer Society, Re- habilitation Center, Louise Home, Waverly Baby Home and the Veterans' Hospital were successfully com- pleted. 171
