AUDREY DOAK, Freshmen Rep.g JULIA BROGGI, Treas.g SYLVIA ULVILA Pres,g BETTY BRAZIER, Secretaryg DORIS MOULTON, Vice-Pres.g AUDREY HOLLEN- BECK, Sponsor. GIRLS' LEAGUE Under the able sponsorship of Miss Hollenbeck the Girls' League has had a very successful year. The first event was on November 9, when the girls sponsored the pic- ture. You Belong To Me. A considerable profit was netted from the ticket selling for this event. An important and worthwhile project of the year was the distributing of Thanksgiving baskets to needy families in the community. Members of the league contributed generously to the cause. In January the League gave a supper as a welcome to the Freshmen girls. Basketball games were played in the gym, and later a program and glancing were enjoyed in the cafeteria. Plans for the remainder of the year include a Mother's Tea to be given in May, and a tea for the visiting CSF delegates on the afternoon of May 4.

Vivian Giles This publication, after a lapse of two years, marks the resumption of an artistic and literary activity of the Student Body. The splendid co- operation displayed by the Student Body and business men and the willing- ness of the members of the staff to adapt themselves to the work necessary for the completion of the original plans for a very small book have made it possible to publish an annual of which we feel justly proud. The Staff, realizing the inadequacy of the funds, has aimed at quality rather than quantity. In developing the work on the book, we were acutely aware of the lack of an art department in the school. We hope that the UkiaHi staffs in years to come will be aided by this necessary curricular activity. In the theme we have attempted to link the significance of the Golden Gate Bridge, now under construction, with the Redwood Empire Region. With the completion of this span will come an increase in the tourist traffic, which will mean much to our community's welfare, and we hope to make the readers of this book more conscious of that situation.
