A Legislative Committee and a Pep Committee were appointed by the presi- dent to present urgent business in the meetings and to sponsor programs and other activities in order that the regular Student Body meetings would be more interesting. An English U Committee was also appointed. This committee, with Mr. Christensen as advisor, will award English U's to all students who have the required number of points-points earned in all non-athletic activities. The Student Body this year presented the Student Body Evening. This consisted of three one-act plays, and E. S. I. C., a short skit by the Junior English Class. The presentation was a success both socially and iinancially.

Vivian Giles This publication, after a lapse of two years, marks the resumption of an artistic and literary activity of the Student Body. The splendid co- operation displayed by the Student Body and business men and the willing- ness of the members of the staff to adapt themselves to the work necessary for the completion of the original plans for a very small book have made it possible to publish an annual of which we feel justly proud. The Staff, realizing the inadequacy of the funds, has aimed at quality rather than quantity. In developing the work on the book, we were acutely aware of the lack of an art department in the school. We hope that the UkiaHi staffs in years to come will be aided by this necessary curricular activity. In the theme we have attempted to link the significance of the Golden Gate Bridge, now under construction, with the Redwood Empire Region. With the completion of this span will come an increase in the tourist traffic, which will mean much to our community's welfare, and we hope to make the readers of this book more conscious of that situation.
