wks Our lunchroom was started in 1951 and has been in working order for nine l years. The cook, Mrs. Edna Hinton has been here all of this time and her helper, Mrs. Cecilia Killman has been here for seven year. We want to thank both of our cooks for the mighty fine meals they have turned out during this time. Our janitor has been working in our school for the past four years. Booth SIX FULL HOURS Some people say a teacher is made out of steel Their mind can think but their body can't feel Iron and steel and hickory tea Frowns and gripes from 9 to 3 You teach six full hours and what do you get Another day older and deeper in debt You pay your dues in this and that Then for 29 days your billfold's flat I was born one moring when it was cloudy and cool I picked up my register and headed for school I wrote 84 names on the homeroom roll And the principal said, Well Bless My Soul. You teach six full hours, and what do you get Cuts and bruises and dirt and sweat I got two black eyes and can hardly walk When I turned my back, then came the chalk Il I got 84 kids and 42 seats, Sixty are talking while 24 sleep I can hardly get them all through the door And if I don't watch out they'l1 send me some more You teach six full hours to 84 brats And all of them yelling like dogs and cats They're cutting on seats and writing on walls Hugging and kissing in the upstairs halls My last bell rings and I start for the door And my head's a ringing and my feet are sore I taught six full hours, my day is made But I still have 300 papers to grade You teach for six full hours and what do you get I'll go to St. Peter but I can't stay I gotta come back for the P. T.A.
