Absent, Patsy Sheff. md, -, 269414 Getting acquainted with three teachers in the first three months of this school term was the 'card' the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades drew this year. Then moving to a new room and adjusting themselves, the students finally settled down to the normal activities of all American boys and girls of their age. They welcomed Jim Martin, from California and Garry War- ren from Portland into their midst. Later Dorthy Norris re- turned from a school in Colorado. The total enrollment this year was 21 pupils but four withdrawals made the attendance 17. The room entertained with parties and refreshments once a month. Shirley Bolin, Beverly Rogers, and Lee Chamberlain en- gaged in speech activities.

Two games were played with Umapine, two with Helix, and one with Lexington. Only one game was won by the Cubs, the one played with Lexington. The main players were Jim Martin, center, Buster Howard, right guard, Raymond Meengs, left guard, Jim Nielsen, right forward, Gary Warren, left forward. Buster Howard was high point man for the season. Other members of the squad were Charles Gilchrist, Robert Paine, Ronald White, Gene White, and David Dalton.
