The band is proud of it's progress although it is but two years old. The members have worked faithfully toward making a better organization. Through many hours of practice and hard work, the following members were chosen to play in the Eastern Oregon massed band concert at La Grande on the 50th of April 1949: Elizabeth Sheff, Marilyn Forbes, Gerald Brown, Lawrence Brown, Roger Brown, Kenneth Brown, Tommy Howard, Dick Huston and Donald Bryan. The group had much confidence in these mem- bers who proved their ability as musicians. ' The band entered the festival contest at La Grande on April 29th.
