Panoramic Views The panoramic views and pathways through Uintah High School are mem- orable ones. We hope that through this book, we have portrayed a span of these pathways to the future up- on which each of us travels. Education opens a wide panoramic field to all those who are willing to make the effort necessary for achieve- ment. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. We are proud of our faculty who have been guideposts in our panoramic field to help guide and direct our hori- zons. Without them our views and knowledge would be futile. With this theme. MESSAGE FROM SUPERINTENDENT GLEN C. OLDROYD As each student at Uintah High School evaluates the 1964-65 school year, I hope it brings a great deal of pleasure and satisfaction—pleasure from your at- tendance and associations with your fel- low students, your associations with an outstanding and dedicated staff, satisfac- tion from the things you have learned, and the educational goals you have achieved. Your board of education and each staff member at Uintah High School are to be commended for their efforts in pro- viding and conducting a top quality ed- ucational program. I hope that each student at this fine institution has taken advantage of the opportunity that has been his to grow academically and socially. No individual can afford to abuse his privilege of obtaining the best education possible. At no time in the history of mankind has education been so impor- tant as it is today. Your future and hap- piness will depend greatly on how well you take advantage of your educational opportunities. You are encouraged to continue to pursue an education to the end that you can profit and be a pro- ductive contributing member to our great society. MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL LELANDG. REX To students and members of the staff: Thank you for your friendship, assistance, and cooperation during the past year. Your excellent support and the privilege of working with you have certainly been a rich experience for me. Earnest Thomp- son Seton said, Manhood, not scholar- ship, is the first aim of education. For some of you this year's experience in high school is a new experience, others are in the middle of the educational journey, while others will graduate and begin to apply their acquired knowledge. Many things have been responsible for the molding of our lives throughout this nine-month learning period—trials and tribulations, joys, and sorrows, work and play. It has been a banner year, highlighted with the finest school func- tions. And if we, in this educational pro- cess, have emerged as real men and women citizens of a great democracy, the goals have truly been achieved. Treasure up the good and wholesome experience of this school year; use hard- ships and obstacles as opportunity for progress, and go forth to help make the world a better place in which to live. As another successful chapter of our lives nears completion, the words of Carlyle seem appropriate, Make your- self an honest man, and then you may be sure that there is one less rascal in the world.
