IndusieiaC Atis The Industrial Arts Department strives to provide vocational train- ing for those students who have chosen their occupations and who wish to prepare themselves to enter employment in direct or related fields upon graduation from high school. It gives foundation skills, knowledge and understandings to industrial occupations to students who plan to continue their educa- tion in technical or engineering fields, and also assists in fulfulling students needs for high school grad- uation and coordinates his vocational training with his various other classes. He needs to know the dem- ocratic process, appreciate the opinions of others, to learn to think critically and creatively. He needs to develop the ability to use problem-solving skills and to know how to locate, select, or- ganize and use information effec- tively. He needs to appreciate and respect others regardless of race, creed, color or other social barriers, and be aware of needs and problems of others.
