They have been united in action and loyal in support of school functions and activities. Seventeen fBoarD of Control The Student Body Officers, together with representatives from each class and two Faculty advisors, make up the governing body of our school. Much credit can be given to the Service Bureau for the outstanding assemblies that have been presented this year. Under the direction of Ursel Allred, JoAnn Lee, and Crystal Openshaw their aim has been real- ized. Eighteen The Police Force and Student Councils have done a thorough and praiseworthy piece of work. T oday, our Utes lost to the Craig Bulldogs, 15-13, in an E xciting pre-season game played at Craig, but our M ighty Utes slashed back on the 23rd to show up B etter than ever in Fighting Spirit. E very Ute fought his hardest, but lost to R oosevelt by a one-point margin, with the score standing at 7-6 as the gun went off. O ctober 3rd brought our first lyceum with C ostumes and marvelous characterizations. T he Redskins brought down another victory at 25-0 O n the Altamont Longhorns, and on the 14th the B oys traveled to Alterra for another game which E nded in a score of 26-6 for Uintah. R ah, rah, was the chant given to the Redskins as they became district champions over Roosevelt in a 12-0 play-off game. ( N ovember I 7th and 18th brought Arsenic and ' O Id Lace, the annual faculty play. V enturing to Provo were Uintah's journalists who had E ver so much fun and loads of new ideas for M ore successful papers than ever. B eginning the 24th were the Thanksgiving Holidays and E veryone welcomed the occasion, but all R eturned to school with a satisfaction of a well- spent weekend. D ecember 2nd—the Utes were at Craig, but E ven though we lost that game, U. H. E xcitement was everywhere before the Utes traveled to Roosevelt, B ut it died when the Riders tipped the Utes 28-29.
