WWE' with 44? ifQ'?if'f . +?if'f ,' in unior Class History Behold! Down the Highway of Education there come seventy-six young people, just passing through the junior Estate. Smiling and cheer- ful they recall with pleasure the autumn of nineteen-sixteen when the majority of the group first stepped hesitatingly on First Grade Avenue. They remember the guides who worked so hard to keep them on the Grade Avenue until they reached the Park of Eighth Grade Graduation. Here the group chose other guides who were to take them safely through High School Maze. In this territory the Subject By-paths be- came more intricate and more guides were required to keep the travelers on the right road. The group, then crossing Freshman Estate, divided into smaller parties and explored the By-paths known as Mathematics, Latin, English, Science, Literature and Athletics. In the last named, the group spoken of, known as the junior Class, has always been particularly adept. Once during each year of travel, the class assembles in a central park of High School Maze called The Gymnasium. Here they enjoy them- selves for an evening regardless of the different by-paths they are traveling. Some have remained to join the next class traveling down the High- way, others, who had traveled so far with former classes, haffe continued their journey with the Junior Class. Our class has always been considered good in regard to individuzdl scholarship, and we hope to complete the journey without lowering our standards. Ruth Parry 32
