the class of 59 six years ago. Senior Class is the first to attend Grant for six years. To them, the class of 1959, we dedicate this book We, the yearbook staff, dedicate with great pride and pleasure, THE GENERAL to the class of 1959. Six years ago an enthuastic group of seventh graders embarked upon their education at U. S. Grant. Today as Seniors, they are the first class to attend U. S. Grant for six consecutive years. These years included shivering in cold prefabs, wading through mud, and watching our school grow from a tent containing 650 students, to a beautiful, overflowing school of 2,000. As the school has grown, so has the class, not only in size, but in citizenship, honor, scholarship, and spirit. As you, pioneers of Grant, look through the 59 GENERAL we hope that you will be reminded of many memorable times. They Have Served Us Well. 93 W izf Q32 53 the class of 59 today.
