E3? gm' s it? , SQUADRON 12C Caboniss Field Lt. J. E. Brant, USNR Executive Officer I Commander R. W. Lund, USN Commanding Officer Lt. M. Lihn, USNR Chief of Flight Most important is this primary training received at the Basic fields. The future Naval Aviators will always retain the valuable fundamentals which Basic training has taught them. This training will give cadets the ability to handle the more ad- vonced types of Novel Aircraft at future bases. It was necessary to have more than one field for Basic Training for the many cadets who were sent to Corpus Christi for Naval Aviation Training. It was the purpose of Coboniss Field and Squadrons 12C and 12D to handle this situation. Similar to Cuddihy Field, 12C and 12D fought many cadets the primary requisites of flying the heavier types of Novel Aircraft. The 2V2 ton Vultee lSNVl did its job well. Students also learned much from the many Ground School subiects. Novi- gotion, Chemical Warfare, Engine study, and Aerodynamics helped the important moke-up of these Naval Students.
